SendAlarm Emergency Notification System Launched

BALTIMORE, Md. (August 6, 2007) – SendAlarm, an easy-to-use emergency-only notification system capable of alerting thousands of people in seconds via cell phones, computers and pagers, was unveiled today at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International’s 73rd Annual Conference & Exposition, in Baltimore.

A completely web-based product, SendAlarm is designed to allow those responsible for public safety to instantly distribute emergency notifications to the communication devises that people use the most including text, voice, page, email or computer broadcast message. Developed by e.magination networks llc., SendAlarm can easily be integrated into any emergency response plan, and offers an array of customizable features.

Officials can activate the system quickly, by following three simple steps on a user-friendly interface. For step one, the user selects a pre-programmed emergency message or creates a new message. Next, the user selects the destination, designating any combination of groupings where the message will be sent, such as “all zones,” “administrative staff” or a particular department. Finally, the user selects which devices should receive the message (cell phone, computer desktop, PDA, other/all) and then hits the “send” button.

A real-time tracking and reporting system allows security personnel to monitor the status of all messages sent, view a complete report of successful and failed messages and review a complete message history log.

The SendAlarm system, which can be up and running in less than one day, is designed to respond to security, IT, medical, and disaster-related emergencies. Industries most likely to consider SendAlarm include Health Care, Property Management and Education.

Because SendAlarm is web-based, there is no hardware or software to purchase and the service is backed by 24/7 customer service.

“ SendAlarm is an obvious expansion of our recognized expertise in web-based products, including those that we developed for call centers and other organizations, including Galludet University, where we designed a web-based emergency notification system for its student body who are deaf and hard-of-hearing,” said Bob Blonchek, executive vice president of e.magination. “The current tragedy in Minneapolis is an example of where SendAlarm could have played a decisive role,” he emphasized.
